The film's title is inspired from the song "Main Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana" from the 1975 film.This movie seems to be a mixture of different movie including DDLJ, haseena maan jayege and kabhi khushi kabhi ghum. The movie is based on old lost-and-found formula in which Canada based Paramveer (Sunny Deol) is separated from his father Dharam (Dharmendra) and brother Gajodhar (Bobby Deol).  In first fifteen minutes he searched for his lost father and meets him by moving to India and reunion took place of father and son. Paramveer decides to help his brother Gajodhar in his love story with saheba who is a punjabi author. Saheba brothers took their sister back to home when they get to know about her affair. Brothers of Saheba after a meeting with two brothers decided that they will marry their sister with Paramvir. Then Paramvir tried different acts so that the family of Saheba should reject him and at the end like other bolly wood movies saheba was married to Gajodhar. The dance steps of three Deols in the title song of the film are good. The director Samir Karnik assigns each Deol a role according to their specialties. Music of movie is good.
