Virsa is the story of Nawaz Ali who came from Lahore and Ranvir Singh Grewal belongs to a village, Kartarpur, in Punjab, India. They both migrated to Sydney about twenty years ago and become best friends but their relation changed with the passage of time wit change in feelings and preferences. After hard work Ranvir opened restaurant. Nawaz ali was a man whose aim was to live life according to his values and culture and was a traditional man and live life according to his Asian ethics. On the other hand Ranvir became proud as success cam to him and thinking of himself as more superior and different from other Indians and Asians. He no longer thinks that ethics and morality exists and became very conscious of his money and status.  This difference in ideas took both of them apart. Nawaz has one son, Amaan Ali and Ranvir has a son, Yuvraj, and a daughter, Meet. Amaan and Yuvraj are of the same age but their thinking pattern is different because of their fathers. Meet is in a relationship with a white young man. This movie talks about the issues of identity conflicts of immigrant Asians in westerns societies.
