This is a beautiful movie which touches the heart and emotions. The subject of the movie is very touchy and no one is left out to be convinced whether you are a mother, uncle or teacher. It is a commercial success and Amir Khan scores a big success as a director.  The central character of a movie revolves around a small boy named Darsheel Safaray who plays the character of 8 years old Ishaan Awasti. He lives and sees a different world around himself and always involved in fights and give poor performance at school. Teachers are sick of him and his attitude and nobody not even his parents understand the problem of the child. His father as a punishment sends him to boarding school where he has to deal with pangs of separation from family and friends. Only Amir Khan who came in the movie as an art teacher sees his plight and then fight for him with teachers and parents and also convinced boy to participate and show his talent. The background score and music by Shankar Eshan Loy and Shailendra Barve is excellent. The lyrics, which go, “Aap ko malum hai na Maa….” is very touchy and emotional.
