Karthik calling karthik is a romantic thriller. It is a story by Vijay Lalwani with the cast including Farhan Akhter as Karthik, Deepika Padukone as shonali Mukherjee, Ram Kapoor as Mr. Kamath and Shefali Chaya as Mrs. Kapadia. It is directed by Vijay Lalwani and produced by Farhan Akhter and Ritesh Sidhwani. The co producers and executive producers of the movie are Amit Chandra and Miriam Joseph. The mp3 songs come from the well known award winning music directors Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonca where as the lyrics come from Javed Akhter. The work of the music directors of the songs is enhanced by the beautiful vocals of K. K., Kailash Kher, Suraj Jagan, Caralisa Monteiro, Clinton Cerejo, Shankar Mahadevan and Loy Mendonca. The story is not based on a strong plot or story. It is story of Karthik who is receiving anonymous calls telling him about what would happen next in his life. Later on he is diagnosed with some sort of psychological problem and that the calls that he received were made by he himself. The songs of the movie are must listen and they are the only ones that save the movie from ending up in a complete disaster. The editing has been done by Aarti Bajaj where as cinematography has been performed by Sanu Varghese.
