Eid Cards are another way to express eid wishes  to make special ones presence felt specially on  Eid-ul -Fitr. A great rush of card loving people is witnessed on book shops and stalls. A large variety of these cards is available in far and wide of our country. People buy the cards according to their taste and likeness. With the beginning of Ramadan, stalls are decorated to attract  the customers. English poetry is written on these cards with nice wishes for the upcoming Eid. Friends and family members at home and abroad attach great importance to these cards. People living abroad await the cards impatiently as they convey special feelings and emotions to them. This trend has witnessed a sharp fall in recent years. Now, people have switched over to internet, mobile phones and social networks to express their feelings. One can see a liitle number of people purchasing cards on Eidain (Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid -ul-Azha).  Mostly middle-class people buy Eid Cards, but now, the sale of the cards has fallen People find it easier to send Eid wishes by Internet and SMS. Almost 30 to 40 companies used to make these cards in the Pakistan. Some of them have wound up their business just because of poor sales in recent years. But only a few companies like Classic, Greetings, World Wide Fund (WWF) and UNICEF are still making cards.  In addition, Western culture has dominated us .We send cards on Mother Day, Father Day and Valentine Day instead of Eid. The case is the same across the globe. On Christmas, the trend of sending cards is dwindling.
Hope sustains life people believe that the tradition will once again return to our country. Information Technology cannot substitute the fond memories associated with these cards.
